In that vision, an Indian man saw a willow sapling lose its leaves and form itself into a circle. One by one, eagle feathers began to arrive from each of the four directions to attach themselves to the willow hoop. He saw in his vision that each of the quadrants of the Hoop was painted a different color: Yellow in the east, Red in the south, Black in the west, and White in the north. The feathers stopped coming when 100 were hanging from the circle. Each feather represented a Native American Community.<\/div>","excerpt":"","slug":"the-sacred-hoop-of-100-eagle-feathers-ceremony-w-honored-guest-don-coyhis","image":{"url":"https:\/\/www.spokanetribe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Don-Coyhis-Event-Flyer-pdf.jpg","id":24891,"extension":"pdf"},"all_day":false,"start_date":"2024-04-21 15:00:00","start_date_details":{"year":"2024","month":"04","day":"21","hour":"15","minutes":"00","seconds":"00"},"end_date":"2024-04-21 19:30:00","end_date_details":{"year":"2024","month":"04","day":"21","hour":"19","minutes":"30","seconds":"00"},"utc_start_date":"2024-04-21 22:00:00","utc_start_date_details":{"year":"2024","month":"04","day":"21","hour":"22","minutes":"00","seconds":"00"},"utc_end_date":"2024-04-22 02:30:00","utc_end_date_details":{"year":"2024","month":"04","day":"22","hour":"02","minutes":"30","seconds":"00"},"timezone":"America\/Los_Angeles","timezone_abbr":"PDT","cost":"","cost_details":{"currency_symbol":"","currency_code":"","currency_position":"","values":[]},"website":"","show_map":false,"show_map_link":true,"hide_from_listings":false,"sticky":true,"featured":true,"categories":[],"tags":[],"venue":{"id":1379,"author":"318","status":"publish","date":"2020-06-23 13:51:19","date_utc":"2020-06-23 20:51:19","modified":"2020-10-12 14:09:37","modified_utc":"2020-10-12 21:09:37","url":"https:\/\/www.spokanetribe.com\/venue\/spokane-tribe-pow-wow-grounds\/","venue":"Spokane Tribe Pow-wow Grounds","slug":"spokane-tribe-pow-wow-grounds","address":"BIA Hwy 183","city":"Wellpinit","country":"United States","state":"WA","zip":"99040","stateprovince":"WA","json_ld":{"@type":"Place","name":"Spokane Tribe Pow-wow Grounds","description":"","url":"","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","streetAddress":"BIA Hwy 183","addressLocality":"Wellpinit","addressRegion":"WA","postalCode":"99040","addressCountry":"United States"},"telephone":"","sameAs":""},"show_map":false,"show_map_link":true,"global_id":"www.spokanetribe.com?id=1379","global_id_lineage":["www.spokanetribe.com?id=1379"]},"organizer":[{"id":20817,"author":"123","status":"publish","date":"2022-12-06 09:01:57","date_utc":"2022-12-06 17:01:57","modified":"2022-12-06 09:55:25","modified_utc":"2022-12-06 17:55:25","url":"https:\/\/www.spokanetribe.com\/organizer\/robert-hayward\/","organizer":"Robert Hayward","slug":"robert-hayward","phone":"509-606-2764","email":"robert.hayward@spokanetribe.com","json_ld":{"@type":"Person","name":"Robert Hayward","description":"","url":"","telephone":"509-606-2764","email":"robert.hayward@spokanetribe.com","sameAs":""},"global_id":"www.spokanetribe.com?id=20817","global_id_lineage":["www.spokanetribe.com?id=20817"]},{"id":23918,"author":"123","status":"publish","date":"2023-10-17 11:30:09","date_utc":"2023-10-17 18:30:09","modified":"2023-10-17 13:25:42","modified_utc":"2023-10-17 20:25:42","url":"https:\/\/www.spokanetribe.com\/organizer\/mariah-brigman\/","organizer":"Mariah Brigman","slug":"mariah-brigman","phone":"888-258-8903","email":"mariah.brigman@spokanetribe.com","json_ld":{"@type":"Person","name":"Mariah Brigman","description":"","url":"","telephone":"888-258-8903","email":"mariah.brigman@spokanetribe.com","sameAs":""},"global_id":"www.spokanetribe.com?id=23918","global_id_lineage":["www.spokanetribe.com?id=23918"]}],"custom_fields":[],"json_ld":{"@context":"http:\/\/schema.org","@type":"Event","name":"The Wellbriety Movement comes to the Spokane Tribe","description":"<p>The Birth of White Bison and Wellbriety: The Sacred Hoop of the Wellbriety Movement was born from a vision in 1994, not long after Miracle, the first white buffalo calf, […]<\/p>\\n","image":"https:\/\/www.spokanetribe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Don-Coyhis-Event-Flyer.pdf","url":"https:\/\/www.spokanetribe.com\/event\/the-sacred-hoop-of-100-eagle-feathers-ceremony-w-honored-guest-don-coyhis\/","eventAttendanceMode":"https:\/\/schema.org\/OfflineEventAttendanceMode","eventStatus":"https:\/\/schema.org\/EventScheduled","startDate":"2024-04-21T15:00:00-07:00","endDate":"2024-04-21T19:30:00-07:00","location":{"@type":"Place","name":"Spokane Tribe Pow-wow Grounds","description":"","url":"","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","streetAddress":"BIA Hwy 183","addressLocality":"Wellpinit","addressRegion":"WA","postalCode":"99040","addressCountry":"United States"},"telephone":"","sameAs":""},"organizer":{"@type":"Person","name":"Robert Hayward","description":"","url":"","telephone":"509-606-2764","email":"robert.hayward@spokanetribe.com","sameAs":""},"performer":"Organization"}}
